Spread The Love.

The black hole time laps.

The space between Christmas and New Years.
That's where we are at now.
Nothing is what it seems and no one really knows which hand is up.
For some, they'll wake up tomorrow and think, thank God it's Monday and I'm not working.
For others it's a new feeling that they'll wake up and think, Thank God my mom didn't get me another t-shirt this Christmas, instead she got me this rad guitar case...Oh fuck I need to be at work in 20 mins....
For the more unfortunate they've worked the whole weekend through and/or this is nothing new to them.
For me it's same old same old. Work or not. Guess that's just me, with dreams that one day I'll wake up in this black hole time laps and not worry about what I'm doing, just wishing that I'd rather not piss and moan, because I'm doing what I love. Be it Music, Photography, Writing up this "unasked for" opinion or anything really.

Or maybe I'm just going on because I honesty do not have anything better to do, except to go shower and lay down In front of our friendly neighbourhood mass media. Television. Soon to be 3D if you're into consumerism and all that, or if you had a lovely/lucky Christmas.

Maybe I'll listen to my shinny, not so new, with not so 5% legal music on it, Ipod. Oops. Where else am I supposed to get Elbow Orchestra tracks in SA? C'mon!

Anyways, enough about that.
I just want to wish everybody a Shinny Happy New Year and a bunch of friendly cheer.

PS. On a side note, I've noticed a lot of views out of America. Now I'm not complaining but why the sudden interest if I haven’t posted in about, oh I don't know....5 days? Weird.[I must be doing something right]. So thank you! Tell all your friends about it anyways - And let them check it out even though I don’t post for, like, 2 weeks. Yes we can! Yes we can!
Hehe
&
C'mon United Kingdom, let's get viewing.
Don't let me down now Pony-Boy...
&
-South Africa, I know you've got my back-
&
Everybody elsewhere, Germany(I'll see you soon), United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Canada, Slovenia, Russia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Mexico and anyone I've missed. Thank you.

Anywho,
HAVE A GOOD ONE.
See you in the year of next.

From me to you,
Love & Rubix cubes.

Sick body part.

It all started with a chair.
It's going to end with a chair.
This we all know.
But what happens in between.
That’s not our place to know.
Only our territory to explore.
After this room lies a next.
And after the next, another.
Creeping from corner to corner.
Like the darkside danger.
Shadows will always follow.
And stare while we sleep.
Love and Hate.
Give and Take.
Does it scare you?
Does it offend you?
Yes?
No?
Maybe?
I don't know.
I won't repeat the question.

Oh, Rain.

Something I've known for a while but I've never said it out loud.

-Originality is out the window and uniqueness blows-

A cruel fact of life when you're trying to be an "artist" or something like it. Whatever the hell that means. If it even means anything now a days. Photographers, Painters, Musicians, Sculptors, you name it. Nothing is original. But what did we think was going to happen? Somewhere along the line things are bound to ad up and show up once, twice, maybe even 500 times. It sucks. But it's reality. It's a fad. It's a fashion. We are overpopulated and we are all individuals....all of us....individuals. I am an Individual, you are, she is, he is. Just like everybody else*

Even this opinion has been written up, by none other than Jeremy Clarkson, I believe. [And/Or several other people who know how to spell and work the internet]

Like this photo...

This is MY photo, not my concept, not my choice of black and white, no no, (this here was even given to me to do, yes) This is a replica of a photograph taken by a very talented man that goes by the name of Dean Rogers, go check out some of his work at bluntlondon.co.uk

So now like millions of others I have pissed and moaned [a tad degrading] myself on a blog - which these things are usually used for....right? Anywho, just like the others let me leave you with a nice message you can tell your mom. Nothing might be original or unique - except you.

-haha, you should see your face-

No honestly, nothing is, but there is space for us to improve everything and anything. Doesn't matter what it is, you know try and better everything! Because if you don't at least try that, how else are you going to spend your days? Reading this blog and criticize the idiot that wrote it? Ag shame. Die arme meisie.

Now go out my minions, go and set the skyline on fire, pee your name in the snow, make a figurine, give somebody a haircut, whatever, just enjoy yourself.

Why, Hello Clarice.

It's so good to see you again.

This is most probably the last thing I remember I said sober....way back when it was still Thursday, before all the "party hardy" shenanigans.
After that it was just an all out anarchy ball of fire straight out of P-town all the way down the hill off a cliff into the ocean. Where it all began. From the conspiracies brewing in my head and some hectic Steven Hawking shit going down to the half naked man guy jumping and screaming, long drives, blood, sweat, JHB, PTA, JHB, too much beer, Vodka in the one hand and Jagermeister in the other, no food at all, pills (good ones, like for actual medical use), black-outs, mooi meisies, strangers, punks, drunks, Jamie T, pushing cars, resolving fights, petrol & a bonfire, oh and music - like in the olden days where we had no MK or MTV and we actually had to organize the party ourselves, get cheap sound, play live loud music and just not giving two cents of a flying fuck if the cops drove by...suspiciously slow. Where people rocked up whom you don't know from either side of this lovely planet of ours. Later you find yourself hugging and dancing with these mentioned people, after you pushed them off a chair and got beer or something like it thrown out all over your shiny new Wolfgang shirt, which you also made yourself...and didn't buy it for a way over-the-top-expensive price that means nothing to you and you end up giving it to a friend because he puked all over his that looked exactly the same. And If you're thinking of trying to make same-shirt dress-codes fashionable or "bring it back" if it was ever there. Don't do it, weird Identical twin paedophiles do that, or people who didn't have anything else to do but play doll with their kids. It's not cool. But by typing this on this here blog. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be proven wrong and by the middle/end of December you'll see a Two-of-the-same-shirt-special-for-the-same-price sale at your nearest Jay Jays or Mr. Price.
Lekker.

Anyways. To bring us back to our original topic. The weekend was hectic. Like not Hangover(The Movie) hectic. More like Zombie Apocalypse Hectic. After we did the DIY gig event that was planned in like a stretch of two days. Back to JHB it was. Now it's time for your friendly neighbourhood 21st. So this is where the list continues. Remember? Up top...the one with the vodka, pills, spills, Chinese food, and mentions of the word....piel...and all that. Yes. Now we move on to puking off the Balcony and cup-cakes. Not me though. Not this time. But wait there's more! There's also puking in the parking lot, the garden, a pedestal, somewhat on a dog, the list goes on, everything except out of a really fast moving car, we've done that one already. Well you know, same old same old. But on this Saturday evening I find myself still pretty badly hung-over....and what’s the best cure for a Hangover? You guessed it....Drink more....at least two solid bottles of Jagermeister more, excluding tax(beer), now it's conversations of boats and teen spirit, Captains rocking your boat and shit like that. After that I went to another party down the road where I found 5 of my very good Friends, not looking all that good, well 4, the other one' passed out and wasn't very impressed when I tried to hip eagle thrust him on the side of his face. Because their night was filled with drunk pool jumps, plain jumping, jumping over a dog, jumping coins into a glass, jumping over other people, just a lot of jumping really, a lot of booze jumping down their throat actually. After a nice glass of "brannas en kouk" I finally headed back home, At least I went to bed early. Like 3/4 AM, but only the big Man knows how I was still standing after what I take to be a total of 3 hours sleep after the DIY gig.
And just to put the icing on the lovely weekend, what do I do?...Yes, I wake up at 6:30 in the AM to go to a nice little bachelors party. You can figure the rest out for yourself. Lovely. FML.

But this is a short version of the transpired events . There`s too much detail and way too much beer involved to remember everything anyways.
[And if you have any {bad} comments on our drinking habits. Please feel free to not really say anything at all. We are young. Dumb. And on the run.]
Have a good one.
Link to the Photo's will follow soon.

Ps. Ja Tanya. Ek het.

Sunday Sessions.

Well.
About the previous post...
I Lied.
Here you go.
Some new School-yard shit.

-This is what all the "indie-scene-kids" are doing now, right?-

In The Meantime...

Here's a few/very little new tastes of Italy, be it the rain, sunshine, lonely hearts, old friendships and/or love...errr, like and lost, there's a lot more waiting. At the moment I'm getting involved and trying to sort out some stuff in both music and film, and somewhat my own branding ability, so I feel bad not throwing you with constant new material, so as an alternative please do enjoy....

Murder of Birds.

So I wanted to post this VIDEO on Sunday.
But I kindof got strung-up in some STUFF.
It's beautiful. It's a MUSIC VIDEO.
(It's folk-ish, it's got Guy Garvey singing in it. From Elbow. With a very talented Jesca Hoop)
It was probably a LOW BUDGET VIDEO.
But GREAT, -QUALITY-

Yes this is a HINT for some things going down.

Bitter Begin.

Die Stad het my verloor by geboorte.
Vir die donker hardloop ek al ewig weg,
maar ek loop eintlik net in sirkels.
Want hierdie tafel is seker myne om te dek.

We also listen to ourselves, climb on rooftops, go paddling in shallow water and sleep on park benches.

Suprised?

Ok.
